THE RUTLAND RAILROAD HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The Rutland Railroad Historical Society was first organized in 1987, and is designed to bring together people who share a common interest in all facets of the Rutland Railroad and its predecessor and successor railroads.

The Society publishes a quarterly journal, the "Newsliner", which includes photo features, historical articles, anecdotes, sources of information for modelling, as well as being an all-round forum for enthusiasts to share and seek information on the Rutland.

An annual weekend convention is held in May of each year at a location on the former Rutland main line. The convention activity generally includes an evening banquet, presentations, driving and walking tours of the Rutland right-of-way, swap tables, and more. Past locations have included Bellows Falls, Burlington, Rutland and Ogdensburg.
