MALONE JUNCTION, NEW YORK

The depot at Malone Junction was bustling with activity as a New York Central passenger train makes a stop at the turn of the twentieth century. This postcard view is full of wonderful details including a ball signal, tender's shanty, a taxi from Howard House, baggage piled high with luggage and express, etc. etc. The Rutland tracks crossed on a diamond on the far side of the building.

The station building still stands today and during the 1970's it was renovated into a restaurant/bar and has since been converted into a doctor's office, and is in use as such today.

- Postcard in the collection of Don McNulty.
