Strasburg Railroad On the surface, an enjoyable tourist railroad.  Beneath the surface, a first class restoration shop with a few Rutland pieces in their care.
Existing Railroad Stations

Includes still-existant Rutland structures.
Walker Transportation Museum Many great photo collections reside here. The site is being rebuilt the last time I looked.
Railroad Museum of New England Another museum located in Connecticut with an emphasis on preserving New England's railroad heritage.
O.Winston. Link Museum I have always admired this man and his work.
Wiscassett, Waterville & Farmington Railway If you're like me, you are a sucker for the Maine Two Footers. These folks are bringing it back to life on the original WW&F right-of-way.
Lisbon NY Depot Museum Information on the former Rutland Station on the Ogdensburg Sub-Division now a museum worth visiting.

Railpub.com If you are looking for back-issues of modeling or prototype magazines, this is the place.
The Antique Photo Store Prints and sells a large variety of images made from glass negative, including railroad and other transportaion.  Look for the creamery and milk car images.

Causeway Park Recreation Trail A portion of the Champlain Islands Extension of the old Rutland is now a recreational trail.
Champlain Rail Trail Provides information on the current proposal to convert the Burlington - Alburgh section of the Rutland into a rail-trail.

Modeling the Rutland

Bethlehem Car Works BCW markets and sells the remaining stock and future releases of Rutland Car Shops.
Highball Graphics Manufacturer of decals of interest to the Rutland modeler, in both HO and O scales. Lots of milk car decals, and more are on the way!
Jim Shaughnessy The Rutland Road is back in print, as is Delaware & Hudson. Autographed copies are available direct from the author.
Steam Shack Roger Dumas' hobby shop is located in --of all places-- Rutland, Vermont. Home of the exclusive HO scale Rutland PS-1 box car.

Rutland Car Shops RCS was the source of many rolling stock and structure kits with a Rutland theme. They are now marketed by Bethlehem Car Works.

Friends and Fellow Enthusiasts

Amherst Railway Society Modelers, historians, preservationists and hosts of the legendary train show at West Springfield, MA each February.
Bristol S Gaugers More than a couple devotees of the Rutland and the milk trains populate this club.
